The Library Moves to OPC
April 2, 2025
WE’RE ON THE MOVE!
Wilder Library Moves to OPC
We are excited to report that during construction on the addition, the library will relocate to the Fellowship Room at the back of Old Parish Church (“OPC”), 644 Main Street in Weston.
The congregation, Rev. Jon Bliss, and the board have been enormously generous in offering us the space and preparing it for our use. We are very grateful to this wonderful organization, which has been serving the community for nearly 200 years.
The space will be perfect for us. We’ll move in several bookshelves to house dozens of items from our collection of books, DVDs, etc. Comfortable chairs will invite patrons to stay for a while to read or talk. And there are bathroom facilities!
The church parking lot and the ADA accessible ramp will make visiting easy for our patrons.
We are especially excited that we will be able to use the former Sunday School Room upstairs, which, with a new coat of paint courtesy of OPC, will be a welcoming place for our children’s books and programming.
From our new space, the library will continue to offer the same warm and welcoming service everyone has come to expect from Director Jessica Clapp and Librarian Chris Mix. We will continue with our popular programming, continue to offer our full slate of library services, and continue with the same hours.
We will be closed for a little over two weeks while we move in late March, but watch for the announcement of our opening at OPC in the second week of April. Come visit!
